Gravitant^® was founded in 2004 by four seasoned IT executives who have spent a combined 60 years innovating enterprise software applications and platforms. They hold over 20 commercial patents and, in early 2000, pioneered a break-through technology— Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Prior to forming Gravitant, they worked together at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), a $54 billion enterprise. They were responsible for architecting a enterprise-wide IT transformation to modernize healthcare delivery in the state of Texas.

With their strong foundation in enterprise software and their domain expertise in large-scale business/IT transformation, the team formed Gravitant. Their goal was to create an on-demand solution for public and private organizations to innovate their IT service models and manage IT transformations in a way that best supports business goals. That’s the genesis of Gravitant's BusinessMatrix™, a revolutionary performance-driven Enterprise Program and Portfolio Management (EPPM) solution. BusinessMatrix™ helps Project Management Offices (PMOs) make sure that all the moving parts are connected and moving in unison toward common goals.
