The Gravitant BusinessMatrix System can be deployed in the customer's environment or on Gravitant's Cloud Platform that enables on-demand delivery of IT Management applications and solutions. The Gravitant Cloud Platform is hosted on a highly reliable and scalable multi-tier infrastructure consisting of open source platforms based on JBoss, Linux, and relational database structures. This infrastructure is hosted on Cloud Servers managed by Rackspace Cloud Hosting, a leading provider of cloud-based on-demand computing power.

Critical information is captured and defined in patent-pending models stored in the following repositories:

• Business-IT Architecture Meta Model - a common language that defines and associates strategies, KPIs, business/IT models, services, initiatives, projects, business/IT processes, agreements, and SLAs.
• Performance Data Mart - a high performance and scalable data mart to capture business and IT operations performance details used for dashboards and reports with historical trending and predictive analysis.
• Operational Data Store - a custom data warehouse of operational data from existing IT systems, applications, and monitoring tools used for drill-down analysis.

The Business Design and Services Portfolio Management module provides the user interfaces and advanced visualizations to capture and manage the business-IT Architecture Meta Model and the metadata for the Performance Data Mart. The user interfaces are based on advanced Web 2.0 technologies incorporating Ajax, Flash, and role-based Portal interfaces.

This information is actively processed and analyzed in the following engines to support user-based decision making:

• Aggregation & Correlation Engine - a model-driven engine to aggregate and correlate detail system performance data up to identify strategy, service, and initiative performance.
• Intelligent Analytics Engine - a simulation and optimization engine that uses historical performance data combined with advanced algorithms to provide predictive analysis of what-if scenarios and decision management.
• Policy Engine - a rules-driven engine to execute governance policies driven by SLAs, objectives, and business rules that provide alerts and notifications to appropriate roles and resources.
